A Catholic devotional platform that pairs every subscriber with one soul on the path to beatification — complete with prayer, twice-yearly feast reminders, donations and a fully custom email journey.
The Story
The road to canonisation needs prayer — the Holy See requires a verified intercessory miracle attributed to a single soul. MyHolyHero turns that need into a quiet daily devotion: choose one holy hero, pray with them, and let heaven do the rest.
We built the whole stack — from a curated database of saints (synced between JSON and Supabase), to a random-match engine and an AI matcher, a single subscription entry point, donation flow with payouts, and the cron infrastructure that fires feast-day reminders twice a year for every subscriber.

What We Built
Hero Matching Engine
Curated database of souls on the path to beatification, with a random matcher and an AI-driven matcher that reads the live Supabase table
Twice-Yearly Reminders
Per-hero feast reminders fire T-10 (novena trigger) and T-0 (day of) for every subscriber, with dedicated templates and cron windows
Supabase Backend
Saints, subscribers, donations and payout records all persisted in Supabase with RLS policies and synced from the curated JSON source of truth
Donations & Payouts
Stripe Payment Link checkout with donations stored in the project DB and a monthly cron that aggregates a fixed-fee + revenue-share payout for the client
Custom Email Journey
Resend-powered confirmation, novena trigger and feast-day templates — one subscribe entry point with a clean opt-in flow, no parallel CTAs
Identity & Performance
Fraunces wordmark with rotating gilt aureola, a Cloudflare-fronted Astro 5 build and a hand-tuned font loading strategy for a fast, devotional feel on mobile
