The Story

Gustavo Munhon is a Catholic writer, speaker, and founder of AMDG Core, based in Belfast. He had been writing and speaking for years — but his digital presence was scattered across social platforms, with no central home where his work lived together. Books, articles, talks, and reflections sat in different places, impossible to discover as a whole.

The brief was clear: build a site that works as both a serious author platform and a living space for Catholic thought — somewhere readers could find the books, follow the writing, and actually interact with the ideas being developed. No template, no page builder, nothing generic. Everything had to feel as deliberate as the writing itself.

We built gustavomunhon.com from scratch — a quiet, typographically-led site that puts the writing front and centre. And we went further: Little Saint, a custom AI companion that lives in the site, trained on Gustavo's writing, theology, and thinking, is available to chat with visitors right on the page — in real time, backed by Supabase.

What We Built

The Collection

A dedicated section for Gustavo's published works, styled as a proper author shelf. Each book has its own space, description, and purchase path.

Latest from the Pen

A running editorial blog fed directly from the Supabase CMS. Gustavo publishes from an admin panel; the site updates instantly. No login, no WordPress dashboard.

Little Saint — AI Chat Companion

A live AI companion built on Supabase. Visitors can start a conversation directly on the site. Every exchange is logged in santinho_conversations for ongoing refinement.

Typographic Hero

The opening of the site is built around a single question — “How to let God meet you.” No slideshow, no stock photography. Just the words, and a silence that invites.

Most Beloved · All Time

A curated section surfacing the highest-read articles over the site’s lifetime — driven by read counts stored in Supabase. Readers always find the best entry point.

Supabase Backend

All articles, site settings, and Little Saint conversation logs are managed through Supabase — a single source of truth that powers both the public site and the admin workflow.

The Approach

A personal brand site is a different brief from a business site. It has to feel like the person — not like a product. We built gustavomunhon.com with one principle: let the writing lead. Every design decision, every spacing choice, every interaction is in service of the words. The result is a site that feels as quiet and considered as the writing it carries.

Built Under
Custom Platform

This project was built entirely bespoke — no templates, no page builders. The Little Saint AI companion, Supabase editorial backend, and performance-optimised front end were all designed and developed from scratch specifically for this brief.
